Chess has been included in the Sports Programme of the

19th Asian Games

The OCA General Assembly in its meeting held in Bangkok on 3rd of March 2019 officially

approved the dates for the 19th Asian Games to be held in City of Hangzhou,

China from 10th to 25th of September 2022. 

The Sport of Chess has been officially included in the Sports Programme of the Games.

President OCA Sheikh Ahmad al-Fahad Al-Sabah sent an official letter to

FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich.
